Please I found the same Alert in my control panel today that  ""Critical Updates Available". Please Hope my site will not be in Danger if I refuse to do the Updates?

Please let me have answer to this.

First off, make absolutely SURE you have a backup of your file structure and your database(taken at the same time) before you attempt any upgrade.

Second, even though the button is red and scary looking, I don't believe it's an absolute necessity.  One of our older portals has this button as well...no problems so far.

I would reccomend upgrading to 4.9.4 if you're not already there.
