Can someone help me before I drown myself?
The developers have handed me a shiny new site, great, unfortunately it does not speak my lingo, I want a COUNTY in the address page, not a REGION, can anyone point me in the right direction to change thes items?

I have tried FTP-ing  the globals resx file, changing refs from Region to County, then uploading, but nowt happens, I have tried editing from the Hosts > languages page, again nowt happens.

I am beginning to lose my cool. I hate to whinge but DNN is treating me in a perverse manner, I am not dim (honestly) as a newcomer even the simplest things seem to take an inordinate time. What am I missing, apart from some brain cells?

Also just to be awkward, I want to change some literals in a Catalook module, I want to use the ISBM / Author fields for something else, any kind soul know who to change them too, I have tried posting to the Catalook forum, but though the lights are on, no on is home.

Thanks in advance. McP

Have you tried UK langauge pack?

My team does all the Catalook work, So I dont know how, but Catalook is skinable as well as the fact you can change resource File, If no one answers I will find out tomorrow.

I can't help you with catalook, but for the region caption, simply go to "User Accounts" in "Admin" menu, select "Manage Profile Properties" and edit the "region". you can now alter the localized caption as you like.

Thank you Salar I have not yet found an answer for this.

My apologies for not relying soon, for some reason Dotnetnuke.com was running REALLY slow yesterday, and it would not let me log in. OK now.

Sebastian, Ich danke Ihnen.

This was a really helpful post, sorry for the delay in replying, yesterday this site was not working for me, I kept timing out on login attempts.

The information you provided was really useful, can you tell  me the name(s) of the files in the site that hold this information? In future this would be handy if I could change through FTP.

Regards McP
