Hi everyone,

I have installed the AD Provider 5.0.2 on DNN 5.1.2 and everything is working perfectly in modern web browsers.

My problem is, it simply doesn't work in IE6.  We are building an intranet [dnn]  for a corporate, and apparently they have some legacy web apps that only work in IE6, for whatever reason they are still running IE6 on many of their computers (crazy I know, yes, they SHOULD upgrade!).

So when hitting the website in IE6 we get redirected to the WindowsLogin.aspx page correctly, put in user/pass and it comes back prompting to login again, and has the domain in the address bar as the domain, i.e  intranet\username

so, I tried putting in the realdomain\username in the username field and still nothing.  Simply can't log in using Windows credentials.

I have tried adding the website to the 'intranet zone' in IE6 settings, but this hasn't helped.

Can others using AD Authentication replicate this?  i.e. does it NOT work in IE6 for you too?
Is this a know issue (i've searched, but can't find anything), and is there a work around?

Other info:
Server: Windows Server 2003 / IIS 6.0

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Tim

Anyone else experiencing this!?

I know IE6 is so outdated it's obsolete, but the scary truth is that far too many corporates are too lazy to update, or have strange reasons not to, hence it's still widely in use.   I MUST support IE6 for a DNN intranet site i'm creating, and still no luck with this.  It just doesn't work in IE6, but works fine in all other browsers.

Can anyone help with this?  please?!

Thanks,

Tim

I have been experiencing the above symptom/issue when using IIS6 (Win Serv 2003), but when I use IIS7 (Win Serv 2008) there is no problem, and login is automatic!  So I will deploy on IIS7 and everything should be sweet.

Thanks.

Tim
