Hi all,

I downloaded and installed 5.1.2 source, when I run the application I get the install wizard, during the database part of the wizard where it runs the db scripts I get this error:  Attempt made to run a Database Script - Possible Attack

As a result ProcessAction handler in InstallWizard.aspx.vb gets stuck in a endless loop.

Can anyone help me resolve this?

Thanks

I have a little more info.....

ProcessAction returns a result value, this is usually a version number or 'Done', this part works fine, however when the result value is returned to the clientside function successFunc it's appended with extra values, for example the result value on the server is "05.00.01" on the client its "{"d":"05.00.01"}", it then goes into a endless loop.

I'm not up with all the js stuff but it seems to be related to the ClientAPI?

Thanks.

What happens if you try to do a standard install of DNN 5.1.2 or a custom install with no additional modules selected?

I've had no problems installing DNN 5.1.2

Maybe you need to check that you are extracting all the files and you have the correct permissons across all files.

Thanks...

Hello,

Can you please check a few things
1/ does you have MS AJax installed (the encoded "d" get's automatically decoded by it)
2. can you validate that you uncompressed all files – i ‘ve seen errors at this point when a user used the Microsoft built in unzip utility to uncompress a downloaded version of DotNetNuke and it failed to uncompress files (anecdotal reports suggest this happens when the file is still marked as ‘blocked’). To test this please right click the downloaded file, go to properties and "unblock" the zip (or else use another zip utility such as winzip/winrar/7zip)

Thanks,
Cathal

Hi all,

I'm having the same issue, have you managed to resolve it?

It's very annoying to be stuck at the very first step :(

Regards,

Emre
