Perhaps you could fix the forum search at dotnetnuke.com.  For the last few weeks at least I've been unable to use the forum search.  It times out pretty consistently.  I just did a simple search on the term 'iframe' to research the remedy for the app_code/iframe folder missing from the 5.1.2 install zip - and it here's what I got:

Error A critical error has occurred.
Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.

This is a pretty critical feature to have.

Thanks guys,

Karim

thank you for the tip.

Currently, the new forum module is waiting to undergo heavy load testing. In order to be able to do that a load testing environment is being set up. However, this takes a while to be done. The forum module is the most important (module with most impact) on dotnetnuke.com, and since it had quite a few enhancements, it is important to load test the module prior to installing it on the live site. This does not mean that something is wrong with the module: it can be used on production sites without any problems, however, the load on DotNetNuke.com is quite a bit higher than most normal production web sites.

So: we are aware of the problems in the current forums module, and we are working toward making things better, however this takes time. In the meanwhile, you could use google to search the forums. the site www.searchdotnetnuke.com offers an easy way into searching lots of different dotnetnuke resources, including the forums, blogs and gemini.
