Hi,

I have successfully installed DNN 5.01.02 on a Win7 box. However while I can acess the site on the localhost I cannot view it on another computer on my home network.  i get network connection problems, and when i click diagnose it results sho no problems exist.

Could I get wome help on resolving this issue thanks.

regards - gerry

My guess would be your default firewall settings are blocking all incoming requests on Port 80 (default web server port)

Try opening up the port, or turning off your firewall to test it.

Thanks for your reply.

I have allowed port 80 and even turned off the firewall completly as you suggested with the same connection error problems.

Before I installed DNN I was able to access the web server throughout my home network. Once I had installed DNN this problem has occured. could it be something to do with SQLExpress?

Ah wait a sec, did you setup an alias for the site besides localhost?

You need to add another portal alias for the site, otherwise it will redirect the other computers to "localhost" which they won't find unless they have their own webserver.
