hi all. i have downloaded the dnn install version and installed it. :) i now have added some moduls i now want to transfer the site to a hosting company. How do i do this? do i just copy all the files in the root folder? (eg. C:\inetpub\wwwroot\dnn ) or do i need to do something more? i have read the Guide posted on the forum under (install it!) but i didn't quite understand it. could someone tell me how to do this?? thank you all

 You need to zip up the files in you root folder and backup your DB. zip it up and send it to your hosting company. Most could use these two zip file to install your site.

There is a pinned post on top of the "install it!" forum, describing in detail, how to move the site - deepending on the database connection you are using.

so do you mean that a first zip all the file including my Db and then send it to my hosting company?

i also read about some http alias. has this got something to do with the dnn

 Correct. 

However, There are small differences in approach between different Companies. You should check with them.
