Upgraded from 4.8.2 to 5.1.2 with no apparent errors, returned to home page, everything looked good and then I tried to login, here's the error I got:

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Failed to load view_state. The control tree into which view_state is being loaded must match the control tree that was used to save view_state during the previous request. For example, when adding controls dynamically, the controls added during a post-back must match the type and position of the controls added during the initial request. ---> System.Web.HttpException: Failed to load view_state. I was logged in to the site previously, however, after returning to the site after upgrading it didn't recognize that I was logged in. So I tried to login and got the error. I used the "Return to Site" button and then I did CTRL+F5 and then it recognized me as logged in.

Any insight on why/how this occurred and if I should be concerned would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Josh
