I have a DNN Text Editor on a page. If the user has entered anything I want to include it in a message.

My code looks like this:

            if (txtMessage.Text.Trim() != String.Empty)          {             }

However, the empty textbox always has this value in (when in HTML mode) - "<p>&#160;</p>"

So the check above does not work. I don't know if this is a config setting or if I just have to do this which seems clunky:

        if (txtMessage.Text.Trim() != String.Empty && txtMessage.Text.Trim()!= "<p>&#160;</p>")  {   }

Is there an easier/better way of doing this?! It should be so simple...

Hi Bud, I do as you show above: if (txtMessage.Text.Trim() != String.Empty && txtMessage.Text.Trim() != "<p>&#160;</p>")  {   }.

I do not believe there is a property to check other than the Text property and thus you have to do what you have above.
