 Hi,

I am wondering of there is a way to transition a group from Yahoo Groups to DNN?

We are planning to start a new portal with a good newsletter and email list management module. This will provide all the Yahoo Groups' functionality and beyond. This is fine for all future operations.

We are not sure how to move / transfer the EXISTING messages from the Yahoo Groups to DNN?

Any suggestions? Ideas?

Thanks in advance!

First check if there are any export options in Yahoo Groups - perhaps they allow you to export your data.

If not then you'll have to scrape it (check their Terms and Conditions - not always legal).

Once you have it in a CSV or similar format you'll need to a SQL import and map the columns to match your new data set up.

Will take a bit of time but defiintely possible.
