Do you have the skin online / visible somewhere?

Tried to comment out the whole body {} section in the CSS.

My background color and my background image disappeared, but the site background image did not appear (in fact it did appear when I had an error in parsing the skin).

Only running on localhost this far, and I am using VWD 2008 Express Edition.

Any particular code that I need in the .htm to make it work? I have done nothing to the .htm in my search for a solution.

Did you check the source of the rendered page?

It should contain this:

<body id="Body" style="background-image: url(/Portals/0/logo.gif);">

I am sorry to have bothered you all about this, but I suddenly got it right. I do not know what I did wrong (maybe I had an update/cache problem).

body
{margin:0px; background-color:#dcd8bd; background-image:url('Images/Collage backgr.jpg'); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:left top; background-attachment:fixed; text-align:center;}

This code (written in my skin.css file) actually inserts my "Collage backgr.jpg" into the background of my skin. And if I select a Body Bacground in Site Settings it will override my skin background image, but follow the other background settings from the skin. This is a perfect behavior of a background.

I will post a link when my skin is up an running online. Thank you for the effort.
