howdy.. it has been awhile since i delved into dnn coding, so bear with me if this is dumb set of questions:

  • I have found a chm for properties of dnn via the Sandcastle Documented DotnetNuke Core.. which is great, except it has no events listed. I simply cannot find any docs on this, surely they exist? (maybe i spoke too soon, and perhaps i was looking in the wrong locations as i now see a few events.. the chm format can be a pita at times).
  • I am interested in securing a hook into dnn's CreateUser event PLUS the event indicating a successful user registration. It is one thing to hook the initial CreateUser event, but for a verified portal, it is the act of confirmation that i must act on. I am created a second non-dnn app that i want to mirror the dnn user into.

Thanks for any tips, cheers, drew..

I know the idea of putting events into the Membership Provider was tossed around at some point, but I do not know if they are on the current DNN road map or not.

In the meantime, you would have to do what I did... Create your own Membership Provider.  Sometimes, this also involves having to create and manage the Profile Provider as well.  It's not as hard as it might sound either.  Just take the DNN membership provider project, and make a copy of it.  Change the namespace and build information to yours.  Then hook into the methods that you need to.  Finally, when you put it on a site, you just need to change the provider values in the web.config to match yours.
