Hi

I've installed dotnetnuke on a 1and1 hosting account, and followed the installation procedure. I have all the correct settings in the web.config, and the correct permissions set on the directories and files.

There are no errors reported during the install process, but when I go to the portal, there is no content, just an empty blue page with the date, "Home" link in the menu, "Home" in the title, and a textbox for the search.

The database looks like it was created correctly, and there is content in the database for the portal "0", it is just not being displayed on the site.

IS this an IIS/Application setting that i've missed? I've gone through the install 7 times in the last 14 hours. I've installed locally without problems.

Thanks

Ryan

Were all the core modules installed? My guess is, no. You might have to do it manually. Also, what template are you using? Some install templates don't create content.

It appears that almost nothing was installed...

I'm manually copying everything over from a local source project, folder by folder and that'll probably fix it.

Thanks

Nope, that didn't work either. I've actually read a lot of comments on here since, all saying that they had problems installing on the web host, and i've had it with their tech support so i'm just changing to another host in the morning.

Three days wasted...oh well.

I'd just install the modules manually. You can do them all at once, so I don't think it'd be too big of a deal, honestly.
