I'm using 4.9.5 and I have partial rendering selected on a module I'm working on. If I add anything AJAX to the module and try to run it , it errors out informing me that the script manager needs to be added to the code.

Anyone else seen this happen?

If you are actually adding ASP.NET Ajax controls, you will need to call the DotNetNuke.Framework.Ajax.RegisterScriptManager method to register a script manager.

The "SupportsPartialRendering" only wraps in an update panel, it doesn't add the needed script manager at the proper level.

Thanks, Mitch

As a test I installed a fresh copy of 4.9.5 install version and created a test module. I added a textbox and an AJAXCalendar Extender. After I imported the new module, I turned on Partial Rending and nothing else. Page Load contains no code and the ascx contains only a reference to AJAXcontrolToolKit and the controls themselves and it works fine. I played around with it turning rendering off and on and when off the extender does not work, when in, the extender works fine.

So if this is the default way that DNN is supposed to work then my original question remains.
