Does anybody know how can I modify user registration fields for new users registration? I have been traying to modify them but it doesn't work, I'm able to modify registration fields for users who have already fulfilled registration forms and i want to modify fields for new user registration...

How do I remove the requirement for First Name and Last Name if I have added a required field of FullName  I don't care to have these separate and for my customers it's useless anyway.  Without modifying the core code if possible I want to be able to upgrade.

This is bad.  Ok I'll have them fill it out, but it seems a bit ridiculous to have all that flexibility there and not make all the fields configurable.   I really just want to collect the username and have them fill out the fullname field in the profile.
