Hello,

I'm a .NET noob trying to understand the source of the events module. When I download the source, open in Visual Studio 2008, and build, I get a raft of errors. Typically I would look to the references folder and fix the broken references to the core, but I don't see a references folder for the DotNetNuke.Events project.

What's my next step? I'm sure it's obvious for VS developers but I'm from the LAMP world, so be kind to me :)

The source project also has a _References folder (or should have one). This folder is used to hold the .DLL's that are referenced from the projects in the Events solution.

The following DLL's should be located in this folder:
- DotNetNuke.dll
- Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.dll

For DotNetNuke.dll, use the MINIMUM version of DotNetNuke that you want to build against. For Events 05.00.0x, this is DNN 4.7.0. We use the _References folder with referenced DLL's in order to be sure that we build against the right (lowest version) core DLL's thatw e have to support.

If you want to, you can change the references in your projects to your Bin\ folder of your site.
