The above solution worked for me when I was having this ComponentFactory problem.

It shouldn't matter if you have access or not to the server.  If you are unzipping the the files somewhere...wherever you are before you upload the files through ftp or ??? right click on the .zip package and choose properties.  You will see at the bottom of the box a command button to unblock the files.  I found this both on a full install zip that I obtained and the upgrade .zip I had obtained. 

I actually unblocked my files on the server through windows terminal...but I downloaded the raw install .zip files to my Vista 64 machine and was able to unblock the zip files there as well.  I then uploaded the .zip file through ftp to check and they remained unblocked in the transfer.

UnBlocking the files before I extracted them to upload them into my root .net file solved the  ComponentFactory problems that I was having on both an upgraded environment and a fresh install environment.
