Hi all,

Someone has uploaded on my webserver directory in /Portals/0 ? I have seen secrity bulletin 29 about HTML injection. I want to know is it possible using HTML / Javascript injection to upload about 70 Kb file? Or the webserver itself was compromised.

Thanks all for your help.

What version of DNN are you using?

Any suspected security issues should be emailed to security AT dotnetnuke.com

There was a bug that allowed a file to be uploaded through the HTML module that was fixed in 4.8.3(or 4) that does what you describe (IIRC).

Hello,

you can email security@dotnetnuke.com with more details and we can investigate further, but I suspect the issue you're seeing is this - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2256/Blast-from-the-past-or-why-its-good-to-keep-up-to-date.aspx , in which the solution is to upgrade to a more recent version.
