Hi Matthias,

Thanks for your reply. The problem is not only in the Super Admin, it's basically any registered user who tries to view the Member List gets the Access Denied page. I must tell you that i'm trying this all on my localhost, haven't tried it on a live site. Don't you get the access denied page? Have you tried it? Please I want you to try it on localhost on a fresh install of DNN 5.1.4 and the forum module that comes with it. I'm sure you will get the same, access denied page. Apparently it does not seem to log it as I don't see any errors in the event viewer.

Please get back to me after you have tried the above.

Thanks and looking forward to your response.

I am getting the same problem.

This is on a live site, using a test user account to which I have given Administrator privilege.

Forum version is 4.5.3 (just downloaded from DNN), DNN version 5.1.0 running on Win2K3, SQL Server 2005.

The message is...

Warning Either you are not currently logged in, or you do not have access to this content.

I have check it on a new install, and I am sure, that is not a bout.  It looks like some permission issues on your local systems.  Make sure the Applicationpool user have full permissions to the DNN root-, subfolöders and files, and the IIS User have read access.

Then uninstall the Forum, make sure you have no artifacts into the database (tables, spocs, views) after uninstalling. Then restart the application (Host Settings) and reinstall the module.

Did the recommended actions (check app-pool user settings, uninstall, reinstall) fix the problem?  I am having the same error, even with my Host account, on a hosted installation.  I'm not sure how much I can get the hosting provider to be changing IIS permissions.
