Hi

I am not techie, but have had my DNN site running for 3 years now (precariously as I never dare touch it at all).  All that time I've wanted to get the Google Analytics code into my footer but not got round to it - frightened of breaking my site.

At some point I know in the past I have managed to fit addfreestats code into the footer area, but can't find out how/where I did that.

I need to install Google Analytics now, and again am searching for how to do this.  I seem to search every 3-4 months and never find out how and never get round to asking here... so, my question is:

I am using DNN version 5.0.0.  I cannot change this because I get my host to do my upgrades for me - they recently upgraded me from 4.x to 5.0.0 and couldn't do it to 5.1 but I didn't understand why and just left it as it's all through a support ticket system.

1] How do I get the Google Analytics code into my DNN most easily?

2] If somebody could tell me the individual  (.txt ?) file that I can copy/paste it into (where presumably I will also find my AddFreeStats code) then that's fine.

3] I can see there is a free Google Analytics Module (here: http://www.ifinity.com.au/Blog/Technical_Blog/EntryId/18/A-DotNetNuke-module-for-Google-Analytics-Integration  ) - I got as far as downloading that but was confused about the license/free trial and wasn't sure if it's just a free trial or is actually free, so if that is the way to go then if somebody could explain that to me (I don't want to spend all day installing it etc only to find out in 10 days that it stops working).

Thanking you in anticipation.
