All,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about how to add new scheduled tasks to DotNetNuke.  What I want to accomplish is to extend the store module so that if a user wants to have a particular order - auto reorder itself every month or every week, then can choose an option that will allow them to do so.  I'm assuming in order to accomplish this I would have to build a new scheduled task that would check the database for these orders every so often and then re-order it etc.  Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

This blog post outlines the process of creating a custom SchedulerClient:

I would also suggest you take a look the source code of several of the core and core module scheduled tasks for inspiration. The hardest part of SchedulerClient programming is not having a current HttpContext object available - no current PortalID, no PortalSettings, etc.
