Hi,

In 95% of cases when I try to execute a search on www.dotNetNuke.com forums, I get a timeout.

The error response can be seen following this link:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Default.aspx?tabid=795&error=Timeout+expired.++The+timeout+period+elapsed+prior+to+completion+of+the+operation+or+the+server+is+not+responding.&content=0

This makes the very important search function almost unusable for me. I expect other people have similar experiences.

It may be that this problem appears with larger forums only (?).

Any comments?

 Unfortunately this is a known issue with the site. Most people use http://www.searchdotnetnuke.com/ to attempt to search the forums here.

Chris, unfortunately your reply only answers the half of the question.  That this is a known issue is known to almost every user here by now.

The question was: is it a problem of large forums in general, or, like one could suppose, only of this site.

those are general issues of the Forums version, used on this site. Bugs are fixed in latest Forums version, available for download and included with latest version of DotNetNuke packages.
