A quite annoying problem, regardning links to pages/files...

One of our customers will soon be launching their new site/portal, made in dnn.

Problem is, during the time they have added information to the portal, the adress has been like:
http://123.456.789.012/dotnetnukePortal/default.aspx
(they link to quite many documents placed on the site...)

Now, my question is: What will happen when thy choose to go live, with an adress like: http://www.customersportal.com ?
Looking at the source at a page right now, you will se links in style: src="/dotnetnukePortal/subpage/yaddayadda"

In other words: all links within the site will stop working, the same minute they go live?
And is there anyway to tell the site that every thing/link that starts with a "/dotnetnukePortal" should move one step down?

The only ones that should be a problem are links within text/html modules.  All other links will update.

You will need to use a replace tool to go through and modify the text/html content to strip out the extras.

Sorry Mitchel, but any rich text column will be affected, including forums text etc.

you need to identify all columns and perform a search & replace operation, there is a tool from www.engagemodules.com, which might be of help with this.
