Hello,

I am planning an upgrade to the our setup from 4.9.4 to 5.1.4,and need information about how the SQL database changes as part of the installation. Specifically, is the changes data-related (adding/removing information from the file) or are they structural (changing the format and structure of the file(s))? Any information is most appreciated.

There are a number of structure and other changes.

You best bet is going to be to do a test upgrade, and then use a DB diff tool to see the differences, I do not know of any location where this is all published, but it would be childs play with a tool such as SQL Compare to get the information.

You could also check the upgrade scripts in the 5.x version.  It will show you the alter, insert, etc. statements it's going to run.
