hi all,

My DNN suddenly become very slow. In sever side, I noticed that CPU become 100% whenever someone go into the web, he need to wait for 1 min. And even log show   "Event ID 1000 Source .NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting" . I don't know why. But what I have done in these days only perform add drop module with flash many time in many pages. I discover that some page including flash even cannot be display or runtime error, meanwhile the server CPU become 100% with DW20.exe

Can someone provide me solution to solve this problem? Thanks!

DW20 is dr. watson, an error handler on Windows Server I believe.

You might look at the Windows Event Viewer to see what kind of errors you are getting.

What version of DNN are you running on?

DNN version is 4.4.1

DW20.exe has on longer appear, but it still very slow and when someone go to a page, server cpu becomes 100%. In even log, it has a ".NET runtime 2.0 error reporting" with even id "1000"

check out the database, make sure transaction log is frequently truncated.

check size of tables sitelog and schedulehistory - there should only a few hundred items be in there

check size of eventlog and searchitemword. If they contain more than 100.000 records, I'd truncate them and rebuild search tables.

check out memory consumption. if there are many modules installed, you need more memory

Upgrade to latest DNN version (4.9.5 or even 5.1.4), where a number of issues have been solved including security issues.
