I have PB and yet it's very slow. I have no idea why. Everything was fine until one day and then everything went to Shlt. I am using DNN 5.1.4. The application pool just stops responding for no reason. Like when I clear Event Log or Restart the application from the Host menu. It's being going on for couple of days now and it's freaking annoying.

Can anyone please tell me where to look and why this could be happening?

Thanks for your time.

(Sorry for the "bad" words but honestly, I am in a foul mood right now, so please excuse me)

That's alright. Everyone's allowed to have a vent when they have a bad day =) Feeling better now?

How is the system going at this moment?

Let's recheck. App Pool stops responding? So you're in IIS when you see that? How do you know?

What happens when you clear the Event Log or Restart DNN? Do you use the SQL option to truncate the EventLog or?

Maybe some other information on your system might help. I'm assuming PB is pageblaster, which is used to speed up your site. Did the site slowdown after the introduction of PB?

did you make sure, database transaction log gets truncated frequently?

any table with a huge number of records?

there is an issue with seach tables in DNN5. truncating and rebuilding it might help.

Frozen,

Go back to that topic on my site where you posted table information from your database.  I replied along with a few others about a few things that looked out of the ordinary.  I would try to get your database usage under control from that other module as a first step.
