maybe an easier option would be to provide a separate page for unauthenticated users only, which has references of all modules placed on it. For UDT, you simply may use a different rendering with a "forbidden" text instead of the download link.

You should be taken to a page that says "You Do Not Have Permission To View The Requested File." We do it all the time using UDT. You can see an example here http://www.ctcabinets.com/DisconnectCabinets/AlliantEnergy/tabid/1492/Default.aspx

If you want you can go into the language files and change the message to say anything.

I saw the old posts in this forum from with similar questions, I found that in the old version of UDT module, there was an option to hide columns for certain roles.

In the new version, howevere, this feature was removed...

The best way for me, would be the option to hide Download column or, how Mr Sebastian said - to show text "forbidden" to unauthenticated users.

I never had experience with XSLT, so now I am trying to implement this kind of solution.

I found the post that I was talking about, please take a look:

www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/56/threadid/203167/scope/posts/Default.aspx

The guy is talking about column visibility option which I found, it is called: "Display on list"

But the role management of columns is not there! He's talking about: Role to "Display All Columns".

I cannot find it nowhere in module's settings.
