I'm completely new to DNN, but very excited about what I've found out thus far.
My only serious question is about the possible requirements for the user's
computer and software in terms of accessing any portal I build using DNN.
Specifically, I'm concerned that if a user is not on a Windows-based PC they might
have access problems.

I won't be able to control (nor do I wish to control) the software and hardware a user
employs to access my website. For example, if they have Mac and use the Google
Chrome browser, or if they have a Linux-based system and use Mozilla Firefox, I
would still like them to be able to use the portal equally well as Windows
computer users. Am I worrying about nothing here or is there a specific
requirement for the end-user to have Windows and the .Net software to use a
DNN-generated portal?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Lonnie Smith

There are no end user requirements for accessing a DNN website. Though as with any webpage you can create content that doesn't work across all browsers, that can be handled properly with good skin design.

One other thing that DNN does use a lot of is Javascript, so if users have JS disabled that may cause problems.
