Hi friends,

Im a real newbie here. I am trying to install DNN using IIS Manager on my server. Im going thru the book DNN for dummies but still face some problems *arghs* Can some guide me on this?

Under ISS manager>"myservername">sites - add new website. a box appears "add web site". Under the feilds : 

Sitename : tridentbizsvcs.info followed by DefaultAppPool

Content Directory

Physical path : ??what should include??

Binding

 Http  IP : 113.197.35.52   Port : 80

Hostname : ?? is it my web site . www.tridentbizsvcs.info??

Please help :) thanks.

please provide some more background:

- OS version (XP Pro, vista, Win 7, Server 2003, Server 2008 ?)

- local installation, local network server, local internet server or a web server at a hosting company?

OS : Windows Server Web edition 2008 (SP2)

- local installation, local network server, local internet server or a web server at a hosting company? Where do i find that info? Sorry not familiar with the terms. :(

local: are you sitting in front of the machine?

local network: is the server located in your office/home?

local web server: is the web server in your company set up to host public web sites?

hosted server: is the server a web server in a remote data center?

The server is located in a Data Center. The server is set to host public websites. I accesss it remotely using windows remote connection
