For licencing cost reasons, we are considering migrating an existing DNN 3 site to use a MySQL 5 database.  I was wondering if anyone has any advice/insight into doing this.  i.e.  Is there a DataProvider out there for this already?  Would this sort of move prohibit upgrading, with DNN 4's tight integration with ASP.NET 2?

We do not have a MySQl provider yet. We have one planned for later in the year.

Any idea on how much later in the year?

Is this a large level of effort to get going or is this something someone else could figure out and get working. I guess I am wondering if it would take intricate knowledge of the DNN engine to get working.
