Hi folks. I would like to have two parent blogs on my website (one for news, and one for upcoming events). How can I add a second parent blog? I have been able to achieve this by adding it through the database, but I cannot edit its settings from the website if I do this. Also, is it possible to have the urls of blog posts from the separate blogs go to separate pages? I.E. if you click a link for a news item, the url would be something like "www.example.com/news/entryid/1/blah.aspx" and "www.example.com/events/entryid/1/blah.aspx" for a post in the events blog. For some reason when I tried this before, both news posts and events posts went to the events section.

Any help?

In the blog settings (the module that actually has teh blog on it) you can specify the page belongs to just this one blog. As for the two parent blogs, each user can have a parent blog.  You can't have two because of how the module is configured (you won't be able to edit like you found).

I would suggest making both blogs be child blogs and then having each of them show on their respective pages.

I'm trying to do something similar to this - a separate page for each child blog and their related content.  I'm sure there's a thread somewhere that covers how to do it...

Is multiple parent blogs via separate logins really the only way?

What I want to do is put two different blogs (or categories) on their own pages, and provide one consolidated view on the home page.  Thought that we could do this, but not worky yet.
