Does the DNN Site Search or the Wiki Search fucntions search the meta data of a Wiki entry?

I have added meta keywords and description to the newly added Meta area. It is my hope to users can use either search to find entries that have the keywords only in the meta data. I am hoping to "tag" some of the posts so that I can get better results on the search. I added different keywords to the meta data, but when I search upon the meta data, I get NO results. I waited for the new index to build, but still no results.

My ideal goal is to get the site search to index and query the Wiki meta data so that a user could enter a tag keyword and find the Wiki entries that were relevant.

I love the Wiki. Keep up the good work. I'm just really hoping there is a solution.

The Wiki's search indexing should be taking into account the keywords and description, at least in the forthcoming version 4.2.0. I don't recall if the 4.1.1 code had the search indexing portion in there or not.

Hello,

4.2 does indeed work. Both the main site search and the Wiki search work perfectly. Thanks! You are my hero.

FYI, 4.1.1 does not search meta.

Hi Chris, I am on Wiki 4.2.0 and the keywords (and the metadata in general)seem not to be retrieved by the search option of the Wiki. I have tested with the search engine of the DNN Core and I get the topic. Nevertheless I don't get it with the Wiki search... Do i have something to configure to get it working ? Thanks, Nicolas
