Just found out  who won the PacketPub CMS Award 09. And I was a little disappointed, DotNetNuke was not mentioned. I'm a big fan of this platform, but now I am wondering the other CMS better? Or is the community of users of the other  CMS more willing to vote?

Any thoughts?

your guess is as good as anyones. Without access to the underlying data of voters, there really is nothing you can say about it.

Quite frankly, DNN falls behind a number of other applications as far as being a CMS is concerned, but DNN isn't really pretending to be a CMS.  And no CMS is better than any other, each is only better under a particular set of circumstances.  That said, the vote is a popularity contest.  Nothing more.  It could be that DNN users have real lives and real work and less time to vote.  We also tend to have better jobs, prettier girlfriends and larger...   Oops.  Gotta get back to work!  :)
