Hi,

I recently upgraded from 4.9.3 to 4.9.5 and found that the host > language > language editor > expand DesktopModules is no longer avaiable. Is there another route for editing the language options for specific modules?

Thanks,

Pat

Hey Sebastian,

I think you may not understand my question (BTW - I am not the only one with this problem as I just Googled it and several posts on this subject on various forums are asking the same question but nobody seems to have an answer).

Previously I would mouse over HOST - select Languages - then from the Languages page I would select Language Editor - then from the Laguage Editor page I would click to expand DesktopModule - a file system of the available DesktopModules would appear - then I would select the specific module I want to edit - then I would select the specific .ascx file to edit - Then the english version of the module would appear and I could edit it to appear the way that I wanted it to appear for each of the language packs that I have installed.

Now all I get is the standard DNN stuff to edit for my language packs. I can't select the specific modules to edit.

You say this has always been under /local/modules and although I am not an expert with DNN I would consider myself very proficient and I have no idea what you are talking about. Where is /local/modules?

Thanks,

Pat

Pat,

fortunately, UI of language tools in DNN 4 haven't changed since DNN 4.3.x (DNN5 is a different story, this is the main reason, why I am unable to upgrade our sites).

Module Localisation is still found in Host :: Languages (or Admin :: Languages per portal), using the "Language Editor" command and selecting Local Resources > DesktopModules from the treee on the left.
if there are items missing, there might be a corrupt language file or missing permissions, you might use the Resource Verifier in Host :: Languages to check.
