Hi,
Is there a way to lock down the styles displayed in the Style dropdown of the rich text editor view? Specifically, I'd like it to only display the styles listed in my portal.css file.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

OK, I feel a little foolish for posting this, since this post is right at the top: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/127/threadid/128781/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Although I have to say...seriously people? Is this the only way to lock down the styles in the Style dropdown? Doesn't having to create an xml file and yet another .css file kind of defeat the purpose of using styles? I was under the impression that using styles was to help organize the formatting of content. My pages already have 3 stylesheets attached to them: default.css, portal.css and skin.css. Adding yet another .css file and an .xml file is not helping.

Or am I completely missunderstanding the other post?

go to advanced editor settings (link beneath the editor for admins) and select portal.css for your styles file.

I hope it works, usually FCK expects an xml file (see www.fckeditor.net for details)

Under the "List of available styles for the editor" section, there is no place to select different existing stylesheets. It only has the option to upload an xml file. When I tried uploaded my .css file, I got an error saying it's the wrong type of file.

I'll play around with the xml option and see if I can figure it out.
