Hi

I made an upgrade from DNN 4.5.1 to DNN 4.9.5. The upgraded version is running properly on the development environment.

I deployed the upgraded version to the production server. I deployed both code and DB. I made many succesfully deployments for other websites.  But I have the following error with this deployment on the production server:

Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: type

I will copy/paste the full error message at the end of this post.

I have to fix this error ASAP!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Doru.

have you made sure, both servers use same .net version, same authentication methods and same permissions?

Hello Doru Pirvu,

Did you get this problem fixed? If so, i'm very eager to know, because I am facing the same problem on my site.
Hope to hear from you.

Regards,
Peter.

You may want to upgrade to version 4.6 prior to going straight to 4.9.5.  See Will Strohl blog and Mitchel Sellers blog (search: Upgrade) for help
