In order to a better understanding as how this module works I have a question.

Sebastian, you tell that the users online time that i configure in the host settings waits that time after a page called, but whats the DotNetNuke Scheduler of purge users online function for?

i have read that the planified schedule will remove users from the listing of online users that are no longer active in your site.

I need to clarified this please

Thank you very mutch

The scheduler job PurgeUsersOnline removes all users from onlineusers table, whose last activity timestamp (usually a page call) is more than this number of minutes ago.

How can i modify the core code to logout a person after he close up the browser?

this won't work, since there is no information back to the server, that the browser has been closed.

DNN 5.2.x will take care of users clicking logout (which is currently ignored).

in Host Settings you specify UsersOnline Time as a number of minutes.

when PurgeUsersOnline job is executed, it deletes all entries in UsersOnline table, where lastActivity is more than this time lapse ago.

lastActivity is updated in mmebership provider usually, whenever a page is called. I am not sure atm, whether an AJAX call will update it as well.
