DNN SnowCovered Modules

Features and Requirements:

Simple Concept
The Purchase Director module sits on a publicly accessible page of your website, that is not part of your menu system (hidden page). DNN All Users  DNN Include in Menu (untick this page setting)

The URL that the module sits on at your site is entered into the SnowCovered "Order Notification"  account management section of your SnowCovered account.

The Purchase Director Mode of operation is set (Automatic or Manual). That's it! From then on, any sales made at SnowCovered of your skins or modules will be posted back to the Purchase Director at your site. The module will handel the work of creating users and roles, and assgning blindly or with notification the new users to your site.

Auto Mode
You can leave the module in Automatic mode, or controll it manually.

Automatic Mode - Any sale made will automatically look at the product sold on SnowCovered. If a security role on your site with that name does not exist, it will create one and create a user from the details provided in the sales notification. If a security role does exist, then the user will be created and added to that existing role.

DNN Role Assignment

Manual Mode
In Manual Mode, you can create a product string to look for in sales notifications from SnowCovered. You can intercept these sales and have the user accounts mapped to an existing security role on your website. In this mode, you can also assign the time that a users will be part of the mapped security role.

DNN Mixed Mode

Define Expore from Role Date or Days

The date or days that a user remains in a role can be set. This allows you to offer for example 6 months support by assigning a user to a 6 month expiry days. While the user is part of that role, they will get access to your support area.

Help that is Helpful...
Imagine that. Help icons that have help text that has something other than a repeat of the item name.

DotNetNuke Help

Smart Module
What is someone has already purchased and is an existing member of your site? The module will pickup on this based on matching the email address, it will then at the account with that email address to the new role for the new purchse.

Smart Names
What if the module tries to create a user name that has already been taken? The module will also pickup on this and modify the name to a sequential alternative.

User Account Passwords
The accounts that are created are assigned a password from the DNN automatic password engine. If notification is ticked as an option, then the new user will automatically receive notification of the new account that has been created from them on your site. This uses the normal new user engine in DNN, so the wordeing can be controlled from within your website as normal.

Default SMTP
The send email feature is set to use the DNN Host settings default SMTP settings. There is nothing more for you to configure.

Optimized  Loading
The Ajax items load fast and display fast. This ensures that the display speed of your web site is not affected by the module!
