I'm trying to download version 5.0 but I can only find the current version.

First, you don't want 5.0, it never was ready for prime time.  If you really must have it, go to the downloads page, look in the top right and scroll down through the legacy releases until you find what you want.  You'd have found this information if you had clicked on Download at the top of any page and read through it...

Just FYI, all the pre-5 dotnetnuke versions are here: 

http://sourceforge.net/projects/dnn/files/

Look for the directory named:

 Dotnetnuke_

the official new download site with all previous versions is dotnetnuke.codeplex.com.

Select the proper version from the selector box on the right and you'll get all packages listed.

Each module has its own project on codeplex with its version history as well.
