Hi all. Is it possible to edit or view functions in "DotNetNuke.Common.Globals"? I would like to see exactly how the FriendlyURL and GenerateTabPath functions work, but I can't seem to find their definitions in my dnn install. I would like to change the way my dnn install forms its tab paths so that it adds hyphens "-" between words in tab names, instead of just removing whitespace. Is this possible, or will I have to generate my own function?

You'll need to open up the source for DNN to do this, but I would recommend looking at the Ifinity URL Provider (both free and paid) www.ifinity.com.au I believe the free provider will do what you want with the URLs, and it handles URLs much better than DNN does out of the box.

I installed the free version, but I've had a few problems with it. Firstly, it's broken my add page, page settings and log out links (that's all I've discovered so far, at least) so that they now 404. Secondly, it's replacing question marks in the page name with spaces instead of removing them. Do you know what would cause these problems, and how I can fix them?

Ok, I've fixed the 404 problem. I hadn't replaced both UrlRewrite statements in my web.config with the iFinity one. However I'm still unsure as to how I should tackle the question mark issue. I mean it's not a huge issue as the page still works, but it'd be nice to fix it. Anyone?

I would assume Bruce has it setup to replace the ?s with spaces by default, you might have to download the source code for his provider (I think he provides source for the free one) and look at making that replacement yourself.
