I upgraded my server hardware (mobo, CPU, RAM) and reinstalled server 2003 sp2 and mssql 2005 sp3. I did a full wwwroot dir backup and sql db backup. After I reisntalled the OS and SQL I restored the database, the dnn folder and reset folder permissions. Now however when I try to go to the site it redirects to this page: http://www.xyz.net/Install/UnderConstruction.htm

Does anyone have any idea what I am failed to do in this migration? I've never been sent to that page before in dnn and lost as to why this is. Thank you very much.

Found the exact error...

Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Login failed for user 'sysop'. The user is not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

Doubled checked all the sql setting and it seems to be ok. Not sure what to do at this point.

Have you set the default document to default.aspx?

Have you pointed the connections strings to the  right server/database?

Try connecting to your SQL server with that sysop account. You likely don't have the permissions configured properly on SQL for this account. You might try deleting the account if it is there and readding it through the SQL Server UI.

I had the same in the past.

What i always forget when installing a SQL2005 is to use both authentication methods. So Windows and "SQL integrated".

Thats it
