I have just upgraded from V5.01.00 to V5.01.04 and I now have a strange problem. If I access my two DNN sites from ie on the server that hosts DNN, I have no menus at all, and the Log In button doesn't do anything. However, if I go to localhost, it works fine for the one portal that has the localhost alias.

If I access the two sites from other machines, all is fine!!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Did you clear local browser cache and cookies?

Hi Sebastian,

Yes, I did.

I have just realised that the problem relates to the fact that it is a server, and the domains are not added as trused sites. I do not get a message asking me to add it to trusted sites, the page just opens, and everything looks okay, excepts for the solpart menu. Could this potentially be a bug? Surely the menu should show something.

if you are testing in IE with JS disabled, menu doesn't work. this is by design. Use another menu, if you need to support clients w/o JS enabled.

Sebastian,

Thanks for your help. At first I thought that it was caused by the upgrade, but I've probably never browsed to it from ie on the server before.

Regards,

Lee
