My event log is thousands of pages long. I want to purge it. The 'delete log' link simply times out. And while ticking/selecting manually and clicking delete works I don't want to do that for thousands of entires (A tick all button would be super BTW). Any help appreciated.

Also how do I turn off the event log as well?

Thanks again.

  • Go to SQL in Host menu,
  • paste the following text into the box:
    TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}EventLog
  • hit run.

Done.
