Please keep in mind, that in a short time there will be a next version available with many changes (read Shaun's announcement and the CT members' blogs for details), so it might be advisable, to wait, so you can start with it.

Unfortunately, the code (currently in Beta 3) is only available to Platinum Benefactors. The official release will be in approx 3 weeks, depending on beta feedback we receive.

As for conversion to C#, it's technically possible to do it all, but I wouldn't expect support from the DNN teams on this. Not that we don't like C# - personally, I prefer C# a great deal more than VB - but it just doesn't make sense to support two languages. Also, when you think about how many lines of code are in DNN, the effort would be simply ridiculous. It'd be nice, but it's simply not feasible.
