Hello,

Hopefully someone will be able to help me.

I was currently running four forums all under one group. However, to accomodate more forums, I added more groups, moved the forums to their new groups, and deleted the originial group. Now, when I go to the main forum page, the new groups don't show up, so you cannot access any of the forums. When I go to Manage Forums/Groups in Forum Administration, however, the four groups, all with their respective forums show up.

Why is it that these groups would not be showing on the main page? Can anyone help??

Thank you!

Pete

Sounds like you need to set up the right permission or roles for the new groups you created.

How can I set permissions for groups? The individual forums have the correct permissions I think - otherwise people would not have been able to post in them previously.

But where is the option to set permissions or roles for groups?

Thanks, Pete :)

To further clarify my problem, when I add a new forum to a page, I get the group "Discussions" with the forum "General". However, if I then go into Forum Admistration, Manage Groups and Forums, and select Add Group, this group will not appear in the main list of groups, whether I am logged in as normal, admin, or host. What step am I missing to make this group visible? I am very baffled!

Thank you!!

Depending on your permissions, this simply may just be a caching issue.
