Roles

Hi,

I have 2 questions

  1. Is there a limit to the number of roles (groups) that can exist in DNN5?
  2. Is there a way to automatically add a new user to a group based on say their zipcode as they register for the site?

Thanks in advance

Accepted Answer
  1. No, but there is a limit of roles being assigned to a user - based on the size of the cookie, which needs be able holding all names of the roles (it might be solved in future versions, when this is changed to storing role IDs instead
  2. no, not by default. this requires a custom or 3rd party module.

Thanks Sebastian,

Does anyone know of a 3rd party module that will do this?
