Hi,

we are using same database (and one DNN installation) across two countries and url for portals looks like below (just an example):

1.www.company.no

2. www.company.se

Using same SSL.

With ever-increasing number of customers (and country), the administration of our portal increasingly demanding. Thus, we consider multiple portals on one hosting. Are there any other ways to solve this problem?

Pls. give some ideas and experiences around this issue?

- how it works?

- should we have different SSL?

- IP?

- Can we have different language settings between portals?

- any known problems with multiple portals?

Thanks in advance

Best regards,

Thaya

you may have multiple sites, using same SSL and IP address

you should install all languages necassery and enable/disable per portal according to your needs.

multi portal is working fine, be aware, that a user name can only used once for all portals.

Hi again!

Thanks for your answer.

As I mentioned, we have a challenge with the administration when we have many customers. How can we solve this easily?

Is there are any known tutorial on the web which says more about it?

Best regards,

Thaya

You can use multiportal feature for shared hosting, if your customers have the same needs and do not never to restore the data of their own site solely.

I am not sure, if handling is easier, you will need to handle email accounts separately and should stand away from granting FTP permission for security reasons. If you provide individual installations, a hosting panel is a need.
