 Hi,

I'm creating a website that has to function as a manual for a software product. There are two versions of the product and this website has to cover both.
I have created a image-only menu in the top-pane containing two images (one for each version, each version is a root item). When a root item is selected i want a tree menu (just like the default treemenu provider) in the left pane to contain all chapters/pages under the root item without showing the root items or the children of the other rootitem/version. Is there any way to achieve this with the default tree menu? Or are there any skinobjects that show a (prefferably tree-) menu where the level can be set to "root-child"?

I appolagize for my bad englisch,

I hope you can help me

Jeroen Peeters

this should be possible using the treeview menu, but I suggest having a look at Help module instead, which includes the tree and handles chapters nicer.

Hi Sebastian, thank you for replying.

I think I may have explained my problem the wrong way.

I would like a treemenu just like the default solpartmenu with the treemenu provider with level set to root but without the rootitems visible. (so when I click a root item in the other menu only its children are visible in the tree menu).

I hope I clearified my problem,

Jeroen Peeters

I am not sure, whether Tree menu supports root property, please check out the skinobject reference in Skinning Guide (or latest Beta from Timo).

you can use the house menu http://www.houseofnuke.com/ for that, it generates an unordered list, which is like a tree. Without styling and javascript it does not do collapsing and the like, but you can use jQuery for that: http://jquery.bassistance.de/treeview/demo/

Good luck,

Peter
