Hello Andre,

You may want to read DotNetNuke > Community > Blogs - Windows 7 /Windows 2008 R2 cross application pool isolation:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryId/2420/Windows-7-Windows-2008-R2-cross-application-pool-isolation.aspx

For the rest it is the same as any Windows Server.

As I am moving my site to new hardware + Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 I will probably have a 'Howto' with screenshots ready between Christmas and New Year...so...if you can wait...

This how-to looks very usefull, if you ask me. I'm experiencing problems with migrating my DNN 5 installation to Windows Server 2008 en SQL server 2008.
So i'm waiting for the how to... Hope you will finish and share it soon.

Or maybe someone can help me solving my problem...
I'm experiencing the following problem:

I want to migrate my DNN site from a Windows 2003 server with SQL 2005 to a Windows server 2008 installation with SQL server 2008.
I already copied all the files to the other server, but when i run and visit the DNN installation, the CMS generates the following message:
This site is currently unavailable, please check back later.

What particular actions do i need to take, to solve the problem?

Thanks for reading and your replay.

Have you restarted the application?
