I am trying to find the authentication settings in DNN 5.01.03. I have been asked to create a new intranet module which pull the user's system login and authentication that way. I know the authentication settings are supposed to be under Admin --> Authentication, but I do not have that option. Is this an optional module and not an item built into DNN? Up to this point i have just created users on the intranet and had those users login that way.

edit the proper authentication provider inside "Extensions" in Admin (!) menu.

Thanks Sebastian. Sorry for the late response on this. I'll check this out. I appreciate the help.

Sebastian, I checked out the extensions option under Admin and I see that 3 types of authentication are displayed. they are Default, DNN_LiveID, and DNN_OpenID Authentication. However, none of them are marked as in use, and I don't see any means of modifying any of the settings on this page. It appears that it will merely tell me what extensions are are present, if they are in use, and then you can drill down on some additional info if they are in use. I apologize as I am new to DNN and still branching out to get familiar with different areas of it. Am I missing something something here or is there someplace else that I should go to check and change the authentication settings?

Please disregard my post about not being able to edit any settings. I was logged in at host for another item so I just went to the admin tab. For some reason I didn't have the settings option under Extensions. However, when I logged out and then back in as an admin they were there.
